The entry was designed to read as though it had always been there. Drawing from Federal precedents, we designed the door surround and commissioned a Brooklyn artisan to fabricate the leaded came sidelights and transom. Its authenticity is such that the owners regularly find themselves explaining that the house is new—not a 250-year-old restoration.
